Worship Ministry

We do not worship God simply because it makes us feel good. God has said in Ezekiel 33:32; “that to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice”. There are those who see church as entertainment. They enjoy the music, the people and the activities but they don’t take the message to heart. They don’t seek to be challenged or to serve.

Jesus proclaimed that it was possible for worship to be in vain (Matthew 15:9). When we claim to honour God while our hearts are far from him our worship means nothing. It is not enough to act religious, our actions and altitudes must be sincere. We must respond to God Himself.

Yes worship can make a person feel very good, nevertheless the reason for worship is to please the Lord. Having faith in God, Be spiritual minded, Fearing God, Obeying God, Doing God’s will, Giving the sacrifice God wants and Studying and following Jesus Christ example Pleases God.

Worship also involves Praising the Lord. Therefore the worship team will continue to Praise the Lord faithfully by delivering it through songs and music. The challenges and changes facing the worship team remains with regard to practice and methods of worship. Just as we pray for the service and for each other in the worship team, as we sing to the Lord, it is our desire that the worship becomes a meaningful and fruitful experience for both seekers and believers in our mist.
